What It Is

Photo Rejuvenation (also known as IPL Skin Rejuvenation) is a non-invasive, light-based treatment that restores clarity, brightness, and youthfulness to the skin. Using targeted pulses of light, the LUVO Lucent IPL system treats pigmentation, sun damage, redness, broken capillaries, and early signs of aging — all without downtime.

This treatment helps reverse the visible effects of age, sun exposure, and environmental stress, making it a go-to solution for overall skin rejuvenation and anti-aging.

Benefits

  • Reduces sunspots, freckles, and hyperpigmentation
  • Improves skin tone and overall brightness
  • Diminishes redness and broken capillaries
  • Softens fine lines and early wrinkles
  • Helps reduce acne scarring
  • Boosts collagen for firmer, healthier-looking skin
  • Minimal to no downtime
  • Safe, non-invasive, and suitable for multiple areas (face, neck, chest, hands)

Photo rejuvenation offers a powerful anti-aging boost while keeping your skin looking natural, refreshed, and radiant.

Who It’s For

Photo Rejuvenation is ideal for individuals who want to:

  • Reduce visible signs of sun damage
  • Brighten dull or uneven skin tone
  • Address redness or broken blood vessels
  • Treat freckles, pigmentation changes, or brown spots
  • Improve skin clarity without aggressive treatments
  • Address early aging concerns like fine lines and laxity
  • Boost collagen production for long-term improvement
  • Achieve skin rejuvenation with minimal downtime

Best for lighter to medium skin tones. A consultation helps determine if IPL is the right option for you.

What to Expect

  • Your treatment begins with a quick consultation and skin assessment.
  • The LUVO Lucent IPL handpiece delivers controlled pulses of light to the targeted areas.
  • You may feel a warm “snap” sensation — quick and tolerable.
  • Skin may appear slightly pink afterward, similar to a mild sun-kissed glow, fading quickly.
  • Makeup can typically be applied the same day.

Treatment Time: 15–60 minutes depending on the area
Sessions Needed: Most clients benefit from 3–6 treatments, spaced 3–4 weeks apart.

Results Timeline

  • Immediately after: Skin may look slightly flushed or warm.
  • Days 2–7: Pigmented spots may darken temporarily and then flake off naturally.
  • 1–3 weeks: Noticeable improvement in clarity, tone, and brightness.
  • 3–6 sessions: Significant reduction in sun damage, redness, and fine lines.
  • Ongoing: Collagen stimulation continues for weeks, giving smoother, firmer, more youthful skin.

Clients often describe their skin as clearer, brighter, tighter, and more evenly toned.

Contraindications

Photo Rejuvenation may not be suitable if you have:

  • Recent sun exposure or tanning
  • Active acne lesions or infection in the area
  • Photosensitive conditions or medications
  • Pregnancy (IPL is not recommended)
  • Very dark skin tones (risk of pigmentation changes)
  • History of keloid scarring
  • Recent retinol, AHA/BHA, or exfoliating treatments
  • Inflammatory skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis flare-ups) in the area

A personalized consultation ensures safe and effective treatment settings.

Before & After Details

 Before Your Appointment:

  • Avoid sun exposure or tanning for 2–4 weeks
  • Discontinue retinol or acids 3–5 days prior
  • Remove self-tanner from the area
  • Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin
  • Shave any areas with coarse hair if treating face or body (IPL targets pigment)

After Your Appointment:

  • Expect mild redness or warmth for a few hours
  • Pigmented spots may darken — this is normal and temporary
  • Avoid heat, saunas, and hot yoga for 24 hours
  • Keep skin hydrated and avoid exfoliation until flaking resolves
  • Wear SPF daily (non-negotiable)
  • Do not pick or scratch darkened pigment — it will naturally lift off
  • You may continue regular skincare within 2–3 days unless advised otherwise

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at dermadefined@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

IPL photo rejuvenation uses broad-spectrum light to target pigmentation, redness, sun damage, and signs of aging — helping to brighten, clarify, and even out the skin tone.

IPL is commonly used to improve sun spots, age spots, redness, broken capillaries, rosacea flushing, uneven tone, and overall skin dullness.

Most clients see best results with a series of 3–6 treatments, spaced about 3–4 weeks apart, depending on skin concerns and goals.

Treatment feels like a quick warm snap on the skin. Discomfort is minimal, short-lived, and very well tolerated by most clients.

There is little to no downtime. Some redness or darkening of pigment may appear temporarily, but most clients return to normal activities the same day.
